All submissions have now been read.  We are behind on responses but are getting them out.  All initial responses should be sent within the week.  We are still in the process of reviewing shortlisted stories.

We are currently reading and responding to submissions made between August 28 and September 15, 2008.  

As a reminder for those authors still wanting to submit, the October 31 deadline for submissions is rapidly approaching so get those stories in.

We are still responding to submissions received through mid-August.  Updates and cover art information coming soon.

We have read all submissions sent through August 15 and responses will be going out over the next few days.   

Due to a lack of on-target submissions, the decision has been made to extend the submission deadline to October 31, 2008.

We are catching up on submissions.  Two stories have been accepted and another has been added to the shortlist.

Responses have been sent to all submissions received before June 20, 2008.  We have accepted one story and several have been shortlisted.  

The submission period is still open until August 31, allowing for plenty of time still to send something in.

We have responded to all authors who submitted a story prior to May 15, 2008.   If you submitted your story before this date and have not yet heard from us, feel free to query.  All stories submitted after that date are still under consideration.

We are making our way through the submissions and expect to send out the first round of responses sometime within the next week.

Important Update

The deadline for the debut issue, featuring the artwork of jenni tapanila, has been extended to October 31, 2008 with the issue due out in Mid-November.

Also, the prize money for open submissions has increased.  We are now offering $50 for 1st place, $30 for 2nd, and $20 for 3rd.  For full details and submission info, please visit our Zilch page.

Submission dates for theme issues have been extended.  The new dates are December 31,2008 for the "Dreams" issue and April 30, 2009 for the "Text" issue.
