We are now open for submissions!

Zilch Magazine is a new magazine welcoming submissions from both amateur and professional photographers.

DEADLINE EXTENDED!!!!! 

Submissions for our debut issue must be received by October 31, 2008.

Our tastes are varied but we do have a special fondness for photos that push the boundaries of art.  What matters most is quality so only send us your very best.

We accept black and white photos, as well as color, and both traditional and digital processes are equally welcome.  Subject Matter is Open.

How to Submit:

• Prints should be no larger than 8X10
• Label each print with the title, your name, and contact info  
• Clearly mark the top of each print
• If submitting on CD save as tiff or jpeg files
• Label each image file with your name and the title
• Include a short intro with your contact information and any info which can be made public, such as an e-mail address or website, as we like to promote our photographers' work
• If you would like your images returned, please include an self-addressed, stamped envelope, otherwise the images will remain in our archives
• Send up to 15 images and a non-refundable check or money order for $15*(US) made payable to Elektrik Milk Bath Press, to:

*This submission fee is waived for all new and /or current subscribers.

What you get:

All submissions which comply with these guidelines will be sent a copy of the magazine. Additionally, artists whose work is chosen to appear will receive an additional two copies of the issue in which their work is printed. Three black and white and three color photos in each issue will receive a small cash award. The current amounts are:

•  $50.00 (US) for each 1st place photo
• $30.00 (US) for each 2nd place photo 
• $20.00 (US) for each 3rd place photo.
  
  While we will exercise extreme care with your images, Zilch Magazine and Elektrik Milk Bath Press are in no way responsible for lost or damaged photos/cds, etc.

Announcing Two Theme* Issues for 2009.

• Dreams
• Text (Photos which somehow incorporate the written word)

Submissions for the Dreams theme issues must be postmarked by December 31, 2008.

Submissions for the Text issue must be postmarked by April 30, 2009.

Please note in your submission package which theme you are submitting to; if this is not noted, your work will only be considered for open issues.

All other guidelines are the same as for regular submissions.

*Those photos not accepted will be considered for future open issues.
